To show hidden files/folders in the Mac Finder or Open/Save dialogs you don’t have to use Terminal commands, all you need is one keystroke!

Hit Command–Shift–Period(.) to toggle invisible files on or off. Hit it once to show them, and again to hide them. (For some languages it may be a comma instead of a period.)
