Mute Incoming Call | Cover Apple Watch with your hand for 3 seconds. (If it doesn’t work, the option must be turned on in the Apple Watch on iPhone. Go into My Watch > Sounds & Haptics and turn on Cover to Mute.) |
Send Phone Calls to Voicemail | Double-click the side button (not the Digital Crown) to send an incoming call directly to voice mail. Just like you double-click the Sleep/Wake button on an iPhone to do the same thing. |
Hold Incoming Call So you Can Answer on Your iPhone | Tap Answer on iPhone to put the call on hold. The caller will hear a repeated sound until you answer on the iPhone. |
Power

Turn Off Screen | Cover the watch with your hand to turn off the display. |
Turn On Power Reserve | Swipe up on the watch face to open Control Center. Tap the battery percentage, then tap Power Reserve. |
Turn Off Power Reserve | Press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo and wait for the watch to restart. |
Hard Reset (Force a Restart) | Hold both the side button and Digital Crown for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo. |

Zoom | If you want to magnify the screen you can turn on zoom. Launch the Watch app on your iPhone. Go into General > Accessibility > Zoom. There you'll also find the gestures for using zoom. |
Adjust the Intensity of the Haptic Alerts | Open the Settings app on your Apple Watch, or the Watch app on your iPhone. Go into Sounds & Haptics. Here you can adjust the Haptic Strength, or turn on Prominent Haptic for more intense notifications. |

Use Apple Pay | Double-click the side button. Swipe to choose a card, then hold the watch near the payment terminal. A pulse and tone will confirm payment. |
Who Else Has an Apple Watch? | When viewing contacts on the Apple Watch, the Digital Touch icon (a hand) lets you know that person also has an Apple Watch. |
Locate Your iPhone | Swipe up on the watch face, then tap the Ping iPhone button. (iPhone must be within range.) Hold the Ping button (instead of tapping) to light up the iPhone’s flash! |
Make Text Bold So It’s Easier to Read | On Apple Watch, open the Settings app. Go into General > Accessibility, and turn on Bold Text. |
Activate Siri | Press and hold the Digital Crown, or lift your wrist and say “Hey Siri.” |
Share Your Location | In the Messages app, Force Touch the display and tap Send Location to send a pinned map to the recipient. |
Take a Screenshot | Press both the side button and Digital Crown at the same time. The screenshot will go into the Photos app on your Apple Watch and iPhone. |
