Using the Free Proper Fraction Script:

Step 1

Select the fraction.

Select Fraction to Format

Step 2

Double-click the script in the Scripts panel.
To open it in CS3 & CS2: Window menu > Automation > Scripts.
To open it in CS: Window menu > Scripting > Scripts.

NOTE: Which script you use will depend on personal preference.
The Size script changes the type size. The HScale-VScale script changes the Horizontal & Vertical Scale. The advantage of HScale-VScale is more control over fraction size and it scales a bit better if the type size changes. However it’s two settings to remove instead of one if you need to remove the fraction formatting. I’ve provided both scripts so you can decide.
